The Making Circle

The Centre for Arts and Wellbeing

Where: Mithras 118-119, Moulsecoomb Campus, 1st Floor Mithras Building, Brighton.
Who can join: The Making Space is aimed at persons using arts-based or creative methods in research and activism, including post-graduate students, artists, activists or community members. A limited number of spaces are available so please RSVP.
How to prepare: Bring along examples of art or creative materials and tools. There will be some wool and knitting needles available as well.
About the Making Circle: The Making Circle was conceived by a group of students associated with the Centre for Art and Wellbeing (CAW) at the University of Brighton. as community of practice for PGR students (among others) using creative and arts-based methods research. The Making Circle is envisioned as a space for collaborating, practicing creativity, making art, and critically reflecting about self. Unlike other spaces which focus on talking or writing about creative methods and art-based research, this space focusses on tactile experimentation.
