The Centre for Arts and Wellbeing is pleased to announce that our 2023-24 calls for event and seed funding are now open!
Events Funding:
Funding of up to £1000 is available to support the production of events (conference/symposium/festival). We would particularly welcome events that:
- Include leading international speakers and partners;
- Celebrate collaborative/transdisciplinary work with an emphasis on arts and wellbeing;
- Include work from artists, community partners, PGRs and academics;
- Incorporate sustainable outcomes/outputs/ways of capturing the event;
- Focus on practice and/or pedagogy;
- Offer a face-to-face element and are inclusive;
- Offer free spaces for CAW members.

Applications for both schemes should demonstrate how the proposed activity aligns with at least one of our research themes:
- Drawing for health and wellbeing
- Design for change
- Making well
- Inclusion through narrative
- Creative methodologies
- Sustainable communities
At least one member of the project team should be a member of CAW or be willing to join. Proposals will be assessed by a panel comprising of members of the Centre for Arts and Wellbeing. All successful applicants will be asked to attend a meeting with other seed fund leads and to capture their project via a case study report for the Centre’s online platforms.
The deadline for both schemes is 5pm, 13 February 2024
