Microbiology Labratory Analyst 2026

Company: Welsh Water, Newport (Wales)

Salary: £30,305 per year

This 12‑month laboratory role focuses on monitoring water quality to protect public health. You’ll analyse water samples using a range of techniques, report results accurately to LIMS, troubleshoot equipment, and maintain compliance with ISO 17025, COSHH and health and safety requirements. You’ll take responsibility for at least one lab method, support operational teams with sample analysis queries and work closely with colleagues across water quality and operations. The role requires a relevant science degree, UKAS-accredited lab experience, strong practical skills and the ability to prioritise workload within rotating shifts and standby duties.

Woodland Ranger

Company: Not for Profit People (recruiter). Role based in Gloucestershire, based across the Home Estates with an estate yard near Quenington

Salary: £27,000.00 to £31,000.00 per year

The Woodland Ranger plays a key practical role in managing and enhancing woodlands and habitats across a large rural Gloucestershire estate. This hands‑on, year‑round role involves delivering woodland management plans, supporting tree works, maintaining footpaths and bridleways, responding to storm damage, undertaking wildlife management and working closely with estates and conservation teams. Responsibilities shift seasonally between tree safety, habitat care and vegetation management. Strength and Conditioning Coach

Company: Hampshire Cricket, Southampton

Salary: £30,000 per year

This role delivers year‑round physical preparation for the Hampshire Men’s Academy and Talent Pathway, focusing on athletic development, performance, injury prevention and rehabilitation. You’ll also support the senior men’s squad during the competitive season, working within a multidisciplinary sports science team. Requirements include a minimum 2:1 degree in Sports Science or Strength & Conditioning, a postgraduate qualification, UKSCA accreditation (or within 6 months), experience in elite or pathway sport, strong communication skills, and understanding of cricket injury profiles. A full UK driving licence is essential; cricket experience and ISAK Level 1 are desirable.

Over a 12–18 month training programme, you’ll join a product team, such as Womenswear, Menswear, Childrenswear, Home or Brands, and learn to manage stock, analyse sales data and help shape trend‑led ranges. The role blends numerical analysis, collaboration with Buyers and Designers, and global supplier communication. The Archivist (Copyright and Accessions) at Historic England is a full‑time, 12‑month role based in Swindon with hybrid working. As part of the Historic England Archive, you’ll lead on managing intellectual property rights and overseeing accessions of new material, ensuring collections are well‑documented, accessible and preserved. Working closely with colleagues across acquisitions, cataloguing, preservation and photographic services, you’ll support income generation and improved public access. The post involves managing project plans, building strong relationships, and problem‑solving in a fast‑paced environment. This role oversees the full administration of public examinations, ensuring compliance with exam board regulations and maintaining accurate, confidential student records. You will coordinate invigilators, manage timetables, liaise with awarding bodies, support data entry and results processing, and uphold the integrity of all exam procedures. Alongside examinations work, you’ll provide wider administrative and customer service support across the academy, including reception duties, first aid, attendance support and general office functions. It is essential that the person for this role is organised, able to multitask, work flexibly and have a ‘can do’ approach.

Graduate AWS Software Engineer

Company: Storm Reply, Manchester

Storm Reply, an AWS‑focused consultancy, is recruiting graduate software engineers to design, build, test and debug cloud‑hosted applications. You’ll work directly with clients to understand problems, create technical designs, and deploy solutions into AWS environments. Responsibilities include writing and refactoring code, producing documentation, contributing to solution design, and supporting delivery across digital teams. Candidates need at least a 2:1 degree in Computer Science/IT, strong communication skills, and solid knowledge of languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python or Terraform, plus interest in AWS, serverless and generative AI. March start.

Aerodynamics R&D Engineer

Company: Vorteq, Silverstone (Northampton)

Salary: £26,000 to £32,000 per year (depending on experience) plus benefits

Vorteq is seeking an engineer to support R&D projects for LA 2028 and emerging performance technologies across cycling, athletics, triathlon, swimming and winter sports. The role involves aerodynamic development, including designing tests, running wind‑tunnel sessions, analysing results and contributing to component prototyping. You’ll identify new technologies, collaborate with specialists and communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders. Candidates need a Master’s in STEM/Aerospace Engineering, strong aerodynamics knowledge, CFD and wind‑tunnel experience, excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently under pressure. Interest in sporting performance is desirable.

Humanities and Social Science

NHS Procurement Graduate Training Scheme

Company: NHS, varied locations

Salary: £27485 to £34876 per year

The NHS Procurement Graduate Training Scheme is a two‑year paid programme for graduates seeking a career in procurement within the NHS. Trainees are employed by an NHS organisation, complete at least two role rotations and gain hands‑on experience in areas such as supply chain management, contracting, sourcing and sustainability. The scheme includes fully funded CIPS Level 4 training, study time, mentoring, peer support and strong development opportunities, with potential progression to Band 5/6 roles. With 30 posts across England, it offers a structured route into a vital and fast‑evolving NHS function.

Policy and Communications Co-ordinator

Company: Social Investment Business, Remote
