Carlene Jackson is CEO of local business Cloud9 Insight which is an award-winning strategic and Gold Certified Microsoft Cloud Partner delivering cloud technology solutions to small and medium sized businesses (SMBs). Carlene founded Cloud9 Insight in 2008 after she was inspired by the launch of Microsoft’s Dynamics365 CRM in the cloud.

Jackson, who studied at the University of Brighton, is dyslexic and often felt like University would not be the right environment for her to excel in. She completed a Masters in Digital Television Management and Production at the University, despite not having a undergraduate degree to her name and says that she is honoured to be guest speaking at this event run by BeePurple.

The event which will take place on the evening of Wednesday 20th March – will be held at the city campus in Brighton. Others invited to speak at the event include the MD of Brighton Gin and Creative Director of Studio Output, who will be sharing their varying perspectives and experiences.

Carlene will be discussing her top tips for business and how these are reflected within Cloud9 Insight. As a company, Cloud9 have values which are focused on development and knowledge sharing both internally and externally and allow for coaching, shadowing and formal training to take place so that employees are given the opportunity to unlock their dreams and potentials.

Cloud9 invest in apprenticeships for both new and existing employees and have found this scheme to be a great way to create new opportunities to bring in ambitious new talent. Cloud9 have also made significant further investment in existing talent with apprenticeships, with one of the apprentices, with no degree planning to study an apprenticeship MBA with The Open University.
