The Advanced Engineering Centre is organising a workshop to commerate the life and work of Felix Kaplanski, one of the key contributors in the development of vortex methods.

This will be hosted at the University of Brighton on 16-17 December 2024.

The aim is to bring together researchers to share their achievements and exchange ideas in vortex modelling and applications including:

• Mathematical models of vortex dynamics
• Vortex identification methods
• Vortex control
• Applications of vortices (e.g. engineering, medical).
