Motherland. Far Beyond the Polar Circle by 2016 Photography BA(Hons) grad Georgs Avetisjans has been shortlisted for the prestigious 2024 Arles Prix du Livre Award in the highly competitive Photo-Text category and named among the 50 and the top 10 books for the Athens Photo Festival Pick:24 Book Award!

Georgs Avetisjans will be participating in the Arles Books Fair from July 4 to 6, 2024, where he will be hosting a book signing on Thursday, July 4, from 6:30 – 7:30 pm.

The Arles Books Fair, one of the events of the Rencontres d’Arles Les Rencontres de la photographie, Arles, will take place at the École nationale supérieure de la photographie and the Collège Saint-Charles. The fair will be open from 1 to 7:30 pm.

All shortlisted books will be exhibited at The Benaki Museum from June 6 – July 28, 2024, in Athens, Greece and during the 2024 Les Rencontres de la photographie in Arles, France, at the Mécanique Générale between July 1 and September 29, 2024.
