Workshops

Kirsten Snook – Attachment Style/d.

Fashion Styling meets an understanding of psychology, exploring attachment styles by identifying how you engage with clothes. The workshop will involve a short presentation, mood boards styling and discussion on the 4 attachment styles.

Hannah Finlay-Ayles

An interactive workshop where you are an active participants in contributing to a fashion community bench, the concept is that all students on Fashion Comms use scrap fabric and weave this into the bench as a way to show connection, community and re-use. The bench will become a permanent fixture after the Graduate Show. (we will supply fabric but if you wish to donate any scraps please bring them along).

Poppy Heritage

You will learn how to print on denim dead stock, using different printing processes that explore creative and sustainable approaches for up-cycling textiles and clothing.

Swap Shop Rail

The clothing rail will be a permanent clothes swap within the fashion communications room. The idea is to promote more circular fashion and give students a place to access free and sustainable clothing.  By doing so there will be a continuous exchange and rotation of second-hand clothing. This will be a sustainable place for students to get rid of unwanted items as well as giving people the opportunity to explore their own styles and rotate wardrobe pieces.
