Sports Journalism BA(Hons) student Leon Imber has been nominated for an NCTJ Award for Excellence.

Leon is among 55 students out of 699 who entered in 17 categories to be considered for the award. He is one of three students nominated for the award in the Sports Journalism category sponsored by Sky News. The winners will be announced in March 2024.

In 2022, as part of his course, Leon earned the hugely competitive 12 month internship to join the editorial team at the London office of international broadcaster ESPN.
