Leon Imber has just earned a paid 12 month internship at ESPN’s London office as a sports editorial staff member. As course leader Owen Evans says, “this is a highly-competitive position that is auditioned once a year.”

Here’s what Leon has to say about the role: “It’s an exciting time, everyone has been really supporting with their praise and I can’t wait to get started in the summer,” said Leon. “I feel like I’ve been working my way up, reporting for a local paper to getting press box experience at games with Southend United, but this is a huge opportunity and one I’m really excited for.

“The opportunity for a year-long internship as hands-on as this with ESPN was way too good to pass up on and I’m very grateful they have picked me for it.”
