A new exhibition of work (open until 15 October) by little-known painter Lynch at the Brighton Centre for Contemporary Arts, based at the University of Brighton’s Grand Parade building, has been given a rave review by the Guardian.
The Brighton Centre for Contemporary Arts is based at our Grand Parade building on our City Campus.
This new show of work by American artist Bill Lynch (1960-2013) has been described as a ‘coup’ by the Guardian’s Laura Cummings in a recent review, which gave the show five stars. Cummings describes Lynch’s work as ‘wild and beautiful paintings, ancient yet modern, mythological yet supremely contemporary.’
The show at Brighton Centre for Contemporary Arts features 15 of his works on wood from scattered locations and is the first in a public gallery in the UK.
