Fashion Comms student wins prestigious Graduate Fashion Foundation award

In another great year at Graduate Fashion Week for our Fashion Communication and Business Studies course, Izzy Wells has won the 2021 Fashion Illustration Award.

Izzy is graduating this month from the University of Brighton with Fashion Communication and Business Studies BA (Hons).

Her skills were brought together in a 100+page magazine called Deep Dive which she created as part of her final year major project, exploring  boundaries between self-expression and self-acceptance through illustration and photography. Other projects in Izzy’s final year included an animation based on Wendy Cope’s celebrated poem The Orange.

The Graduate Fashion Foundation is in its 30th year championing emerging fashion talent and bridging the gap between education and employment, and its annual awards –  judged by fashion industry experts – offer winners high-profile mentoring as well as cash prizes.

After her victory, Izzy said: “I am thrilled to win the Fashion Illustration award at Graduate Fashion Week, supported by Cass Art. Words cannot describe how grateful I am for this incredible opportunity, and I am very excited to be working with Cass Art in the future.”
