2017 textiles design graduate Freya Richmond has been selected by the Daily Telegraph’s Stella magazine as one of their ‘Designers To Watch in 2021’.
Straight after graduating with a First Class Honours degree in Textiles Design with Business Studies, Freya landed a job with leading designer Richard Quinn as his Head Printed Designer, Product Developer and Studio Coordinator, where she produced printed fabrics for top fashion names like Burberry. She also won an award in the FESPA Printeriors interior printing showcase at the Global Print Expo 2018 in Berlin.
Freya’s new design brand F.ROZE showcases bold and dynamic designs that blend abstract art with interior design. Speaking about her work, Freya said: “I noticed an opportunity for modern, sleek and effortless furnishings to have my bold designs injected into them. F.ROZE has since launched on Latzio Living, and I also freelance for clients within fashion, interiors and life style. Having the two avenues – F.ROZE and my freelance work – keeps things exciting and enables me to design for both fashion and interiors. I adore both.”
Celebrating her time at Brighton, Freya said: “My time at Brighton University was incredible and I thank it every day. The support and care from tutors, the fantastic facilities and creative community was unrivalled. It allowed for experimentation, guidance and constant support all the way through. And still 4 years on they are supporting me along the way. My time there definitely impacted my early success beyond belief.”
