Sally Sutherland, now a PhD student at Brighton, will be exhibiting her work as part of a high-profile design research event at the London Design Fair at the Old Truman Brewery from 19 – 22 September. Sally is showing a combination of MA work and ongoing PhD research at the Design Research for Change exhibition. Her work uses design “to observe, engage and intervene in contemporary UK public breastfeeding discourses and focuses on gender, care, food, culture and motherhood and critically examines the role of design in relation to complex issues of sustainable development.”
