Women of Impact: Interior Architecture graduate harks back to Brighton days with set design at Brit Awards

Misty Buckley drew on her days studying Interior Architecture in Brighton for inspiration behind her West Pier set design for  Rag ’n’ Bone Man at this year’s Brit Awards.

Her brief was that the design had to have an “emotional connection” to the singer, who has also spent a lot of time in Brighton. She drew on the destruction of the Pier by fire in 2003.

Misty was also responsible for Dua Lipa and Foo Fighters’ sets at the Brits and has created work for The Paralympics Closing Ceremony in London in 2012 and the 2015 Rugby World Cup Opening Ceremony at Twickenham Stadium as well as for Coldplay’s most recent Superbowl performance.
