Post-grad and PhD students might be interested in an industry networking event bringing together the different elements of music and digital media at The Fusebox.
Brighton has the highest concentration of digital companies in the UK and a strong music industry. This event is hosted by Wired Sussex (through its Digital Catapult programme), Brighton Institute of Modern Music (BIMM) and The Brighton Music. The aim is long lasting collaborations and commercial opportunities.
FORMAT
• There will be short presentations from representatives from the music industry (e.g. BIMM, venues, artists) to share what makes Brighton a unique platform for music as well as sharing their insights and challenges.
• There will be showcasing of cutting edge examples of where digital technology can add value to the music sector and an overview from The Digital Catapult Centre Brighton on the state of play of the digital sector in the city.
• There will be lots of opportunities to network and to learn from each other.
We hope this event will be the start of future activity and collaborations in this space and we are looking to support and foster them.
