Free screening of classic film Black Girl

Often described as the first Sub-Saharan film to receive international distribution and attention, Ousmane Sembène’s La Noire de… is a film critiquing racism and colonialism. It follows Diouana, a Senegalese girl who moves to France to pursue dreams of a better life. The screening by the Film and Screen Studies Film Club, is on November 29th at 6pm in Edward Street 102.  All welcome.
