Shadows

Using artificial lighting I created some silhouette images, I also experimented with overlapping and opacity in photoshop. I decided on the idea of silhouettes as I think it is a good representative of the feeling of disassociation and emptiness, both sensations that have obscured my sense of place in the past months

Sunlight

This second light based shoot I conducted is reminiscent of Julie De Warocquier’s project that I previously discussed. The poses are an attempt to convey the restlessness and nihilism I experienced after moving home.

Silhouettes

Finally I looked at taking high contrast photographs to create silhouettes of myself and my plants the hang in my window. My plants are significant in that they offer a distraction and a sense of purpose, having something to care for.
