sweet chestnut leaves

21st May 2018

The light has changed, the fresh green leaves are tinting the sunlight as is falls gently down to the woodland floor. The red campion and the yellow buttercups are settled in between the light green ferns. There is still so much to do on the pathways. It is so surprising that water springs out of the most unusual places and seems to settle exactly in the most inconvenient place. So the volunteers are back to making the corduroy laid pathways covered in woodchipping’s but this time we dug down and introduced water pipes.
