10th July

Many things go through your mind when you enter the woodland but on this day, I was taken by the sweet smell of everything growing like mad – especially the brambles! We organised a team to clear the paths to make them easier to walk along, a team to work on the glade around the Trafalgar oak tree and Ken and David took care of a dangerous overhanging branch. We worked solidly until 11.30 when we broke off to celebrate John’s birthday and listen to some beautifully narrated stories.
