‘Conceptualising the Wellbeing state.’
This forthcoming international roundtable at the University of Brighton will bring together academics, researchers, third sector organisations and policy makers to cosolidate our shared understanding of what a Wellbeing state could be:
We will seek to answer the following questions:
- What would a wellbeing state look like?
- What definition of wellbeing does it utilise?
- How would it differ from the current (‘rolled back’/minimal) welfare state familiar in Western democracies?
- How can it avoid notorious problems of the traditional welfare state?
