The design and development process includes our:

Concept Boards

These are essentially informational posters of a collections of ideas and visuals on how the project has been interpreted. Each person in our team made a concept board of their vision of the rocket and educational package so we could combine ideas and have a better understand of what is required for the project.

Decision Making

There were many decisions to make in this project. We had to be objective and have a rationale for why we chose what we chose, otherwise there’s nothing explaining why we did what we did at each stage.

Design and Evolution Process

There was lots of progress made throughout our designing process as we found out what would and wouldn’t work. The designing process gave greater visualisation of what the rocket would look like once constructed.

Prototyping Process

It was important in this project to make prototypes before the final rocket to test what did and didn’t work. We ended up making, and remedying, a few mistakes during the making and testing of our prototypes which enabled our final rocket to work the best it could. Prototypes were also important for testing as they were likely to break during landing, and this would have been a major setback if we had to use and try to repair our final rocket at late notice.
