Brighton academic travels to Pakistan to meet potential new students
Last month Dr Hasan Gilani, Principal Lecturer in our School of Business and Law, visited Pakistan for a number of international recruitment fairs with SI-UK.
The trip included multiple stops around various major cities in Pakistan including Peshawar, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Lahore.
Attending recruitment fairs around the world is part of our internationalisation strategy to promote the University of Brighton as a global higher education institution.
Attracting in excess of 3,000 students in total, this was a great way for the University of Brighton to get in front of potential applicants to talk to them about our courses and international student life in Brighton.
Dr Gilani said: “These were fantastic events where around 35 to 40 UK universities gathered under one roof to showcase their courses, scholarship opportunities and discuss many different aspects of what it’s like to study in the UK.
“The events were held in major cities in Pakistan. We had more than 3,000 students attend the recruitment fairs.
“This trip was a great opportunity for UK universities to have such a wide-reach in Pakistan, which has recently shown great potential for international students to join the UK education market.”
