About the artists
Jude Kingshott
Jude is a mixed media and textile artist, based in Kent. She teaches extensively in Europe and has exhibited Internationally in both solo and group shows.
She works with cloth and with paper. Her working processes include eco printing, natural dyeing, book binding, mark making and hand stitching.
Often beginning with vintage cloth and old books, that will be cut up to form a series of work. These smaller pieces will then be over dyed with Indigo dye using a variety of Shibori techniques.
Chris Francis
Chris is an arts educator, illustrator, writer and co-founder of ArtPedagogy and PhotoPedagogy, two popular online resources for artists, educators and students.
He has led workshops and professional development at a range of institutions including Tate Modern, Autograph, The Photographers’ Gallery and The Royal Photographic Society.
Chris best summarises his creative practice as ‘serious mischief’ – an ongoing quest to unpick art and art education via thinking hard coupled with less predictable actions, collaborations and picture-word doodling.
