5th Feb – Day one! The start of EX404 digital fabrication began with a overview of the module, in that 1st class we went through the specification before moving on to the 1st project, a blog website. i set up the website during that class and was welcomed by an example post “hello world!” Which I have left for the meantime.
I spent the rest of my time in class before taking a break familiarising myself with the features before i did any official changes due to the first problems i encountered.
1st problems – I currently have no idea on a appropriate title to greet people into the website so I have set a place holder of “currently thinking of a tile” to fill the spot in the meantime, I am also stuck between themes for the website
Current appearance of the page.
After returning from my break i still have yet to come to a conclusion on the problems so i’ll leave them as is for the meantime. before wrapping up for the day I made 2 pages
“about me” which was a page outlined in todays class where i add a picture of myself accompanied by a short paragraph on things “about me”. this is where i cam across my second problems.
2nd problems – I don’t know what to write about myself nor do i have a picture of myself.
The other page was this weeks “project page” which i will do for all the EX404 projects I do in this module. for project 1’s page i’m writing about the features WordPress has and the technicalities to adding media such as file sizes and formats but i later plan to go into detail when it comes to the choices of this website.
7th Feb – I’ve solved my first problems, changing the title to “Digital Fabrication” and adding “welcome” as the tag underneath moving what was there to the footer. I’ve also decided to go with Garfunkel as the theme and found some landscape pictures id taken form my time Nicé last year to change the background image.
