I’ve been looking at clashing prints, and Dries Van Noten and Lucinda Chambers all fit perfectly with that category. For my clashing prints workshop i’ve got some inspiration from these two. Here are a few examples.

I chose Phoebe Philo as style inspiration for this workshop. Philo styled the models so great that i had to try it myself. Here are a few of my favourites from Phoebe Philo.
Exhibitions I visited
The Animality and the Feminist Avant Garde were my favourite exhibitions that I visit, out of a few. My aim was to get some inspiration and learn new things from going, and i certainly did. Looking at colours, materials, shapes and types of photography had me excited about taking pictures of my own for the up and coming projects.
IDEA 3/CURRENT IDEA
Throughout my research i found that ankle boots were more interesting then they seemed. My last idea was the least interesting, but with the most interesting concept. I found out that woman used to wear ankle boots to hide their ankles so to protect their modesty. I took these images not only because my model is wearing ankle boots but because i wanted to spread a little message- you could say. i dressed my model in shorts and fish net tights (so skin on the legs were slightly showing.) This was seen as ‘unacceptable’ in those times so i wanted to show that woman can wear anything, and not dress to the likes of men. I also wanted to show that the reason for wearing ankle boots are a lot different now.

My second idea was to accessorise my boots then step by step deconstruct the boot and record my processes till just the sole is left.

I am obsessed(!!!!) with embroidery. My first idea was inspired by Gucci Fall 2016 where they had embroidery all over. I decided that sticking on badges to a garment was a similar alternative to embroidery and it was just a good way to change up and accessorise an object.
IDEAS
I was thinking to partner up/collab with someone who’s object is pins and brooches. These are pin badges and as i showed in my previous post they look so cool on items of clothing. It’s a good way to accessorise a boring pair of shoes and it makes it different from others.
idea’s and experimenting
I thought these badges on these garments were cool, it can make a simple item of clothing become so much more interesting than it actually is. Shops sell these single badges to stick onto your clothes on your own, it is usually put onto denim. But i thought that it would also make a simple ankle boot look so much better. I got this inspiration to do this from Gucci’s fall 2016 prints.
Denim styling workshop
With the little denim we had, we tried to create some outfits from the denim. It was a lot harder than we thought as we bought trousers and skirts from charity shops that were way too big for us. This was the not so very good outcome, but it was fun. We worked with a lot of rips and chokers as i found that in a lot of my Pinterest photos.
