Answer:
You can add a website or web resource to a tab using the following steps.
- Click on the + (plus) button along the top of the Channel where you would like the resource to be shown.
- Select the Website option from the list. Please do not add any of the other content types without consulting with your Learning Technologies Adviser.
- Add the details about your web resource and click Save. Optional checkbox: you can choose to automatically post to the channel about the addition of the resource.
- The website/resource will now be shown in the tabs.
Teaching Idea: if you are using channels with discurcive topic groups this could be a handy way to ask students to complete a web quest activity in their group. You could ask students to search for information in a website or a section of the website and then report back and discuss their findings using the posts area of the channel where the group work is taking place.
