We do not recommend playing a video via screen/window sharing as there will be substantial time lag for your viewers and there will not be audio for the video.
We recommend that you either make the video available as a link and then give your students a short break from the live lecture to go away and watch it on their computers/devices. Then to build on the learning discuss the video in the live lecture or via the posts area in your team. Alternatively, refer the students to the slides or video link and then ask that they watch the video before the live lecture as a flipped activity.
Sharing video over screenshare is kind of like photocopying a photocopy. You have a lag already with screenshare and that means that time-based media (video or audio playback) has a twice the time lag.--> |
