This tutorial has moved to the Digital Tools pages on SharePoint Online. <a href="https://unibrightonac.sharepoint.com/sites/digital/SitePages/PanoptoStudentSubmission.aspx?web=1">Panopto Student Assignment tutorial</a>. <!--Students will need to submit their video work (using a Panopto tool) to a My Studies Submission point in a module area. This guide will walk one through setting up a Video Submission Point in My Studies. Make sure the Module is <a href="https://blogs.brighton.ac.uk/teachingcontingency/wiki/frequently-asked-questions-faqs/provisioning-panopto-in-your-module/">Provisioned (setup) with Panopto</a> first! <h3>Setting up a Video submission point in My Studies</h3> First, go to the module where you need to add a submission point for a video assignment. Click on the Assessment and Marks link in the menu area (1), click on Assessments (2). Choose the Assignment selection, which is the My Studies assignment submission point tool (3). <a href="https://blogs.brighton.ac.uk/teachingcontingency/files/2020/11/01PanoptoAssignmentnew.png"><img class="aligncenter wp-image-1709 " src="https://blogs.brighton.ac.uk/teachingcontingency/files/2020/11/01PanoptoAssignmentnew.png" alt="Screencapture of the My Studies area with Assessment and Marks and assignment highlighted" width="560" height="468" /></a> In the Create Assignment window put in a title of the submission point (1). Our guidance is to include the due-date and time in the title itself.  This is a wonderful signpost for our students, when they are viewing their assessment tasks on their mobile devices or even in the global menu in My Studies. To add instructions for your students, automatically, click on the Add Content button (2). <a href="https://blogs.brighton.ac.uk/teachingcontingency/files/2020/11/02PanoptoAssignment.png"><img class="aligncenter wp-image-1699" src="https://blogs.brighton.ac.uk/teachingcontingency/files/2020/11/02PanoptoAssignment.png" alt="Screencapture of the Assignment Information area with the title and add content button highlighted" width="653" height="335" /></a> Choose the Panopto Student Video Submission choice. This is auto-fill the instructions for the students. <a href="https://blogs.brighton.ac.uk/teachingcontingency/files/2020/11/03PanoptoAssignment.png"><img class="aligncenter wp-image-1700" src="https://blogs.brighton.ac.uk/teachingcontingency/files/2020/11/03PanoptoAssignment.png" alt="Screencapture of the add content area with Panopto Student Video Submission highlighted" width="464" height="427" /></a> These steps will automatically be added to your Instruction area on the Create Submission window. We suggest you change the word “Blackboard” to “My Studies” and the word “Mashups” to “Add Content”. <a href="https://blogs.brighton.ac.uk/teachingcontingency/files/2020/11/04PanoptoAssignment.png"><img class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-1701" src="https://blogs.brighton.ac.uk/teachingcontingency/files/2020/11/04PanoptoAssignment-1024x391.png" alt="Screencapture of the instructions area with Blackboard and Mashups highlighted" width="550" height="210" /></a> Scroll down the page a bit, and the next areas to fill out, are the Due Date and the Marking areas. Place the due date and time in the windows, and also add in the point value. (We suggest 100 points, so that it’s a percentage numerical mark. If you are doing a pass/fail or other marking scheme, feel free to do out of 1 points, or whatever, depending…) <a href="https://blogs.brighton.ac.uk/teachingcontingency/files/2020/11/06PanoptoAssignment.png"><img class="aligncenter wp-image-1703" src="https://blogs.brighton.ac.uk/teachingcontingency/files/2020/11/06PanoptoAssignment.png" alt="Screencapture of the assignment setup area with due date and points possible highlighted" width="512" height="288" /></a> In the submission details, in this example, it’s an individual student’s submission, we suggest allowing for multiple attempts, in case they have internet connection issues. Allow for several attempts, and make sure the ‘Last Marked Attempt’ is chosen. <a href="https://blogs.brighton.ac.uk/teachingcontingency/files/2020/11/07PanoptoAssignment.png"><img class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-1704" src="https://blogs.brighton.ac.uk/teachingcontingency/files/2020/11/07PanoptoAssignment-1024x404.png" alt="Screencapture of the submission details area with number of attempts and maximum attepts highlighted" width="550" height="217" /></a> In the “Display of Marks” area of the setup window, make sure to <strong>untick</strong> the Show to students in My Marks choice. This will make sure that the marks/grades will not be released to the students until you are ready for them to be released. <a href="https://blogs.brighton.ac.uk/teachingcontingency/files/2020/11/08PanoptoAssignment.png"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-1705" src="https://blogs.brighton.ac.uk/teachingcontingency/files/2020/11/08PanoptoAssignment.png" alt="Screencapture of the display of marks area with show to students in my marks tickbox highlighted" width="496" height="408" /></a> Feel free to mark the assignment available (or you can limit the availability if you wish), and then click Submit. <a href="https://blogs.brighton.ac.uk/teachingcontingency/files/2020/11/09PanoptoAssignment.png"><img class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-1706" src="https://blogs.brighton.ac.uk/teachingcontingency/files/2020/11/09PanoptoAssignment-1024x401.png" alt="Screencapture of the submission point area with submit button highlighted" width="550" height="215" /></a> A successful submission point has been created. <a href="https://blogs.brighton.ac.uk/teachingcontingency/files/2020/11/10PanoptoAssignment.png"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-1707" src="https://blogs.brighton.ac.uk/teachingcontingency/files/2020/11/10PanoptoAssignment.png" alt="Screencapture of the My Studies area with purple success banner highlighted" width="507" height="262" /></a> We also have a downloadable copy of this guide here: [embeddoc url="https://blogs.brighton.ac.uk/teachingcontingency/files/2020/11/Video-Assessments-with-Panopto.docx" download="all" viewer="microsoft"]-->
