This tutorial has moved to the Digital Tools pages on SharePoint Online. <a href="">MS Team video to Panopto tutorial</a>. <!--<h2>Moving a Teams Meeting recording into My Studies</h2> A Teams meeting recording is a valuable resource; however, it is quite often locked down to specific people. We suggest moving the video from a Teams area into My Studies, where you will know for sure who has access to the video for viewing. [toc] <h3>Downloading the video from Microsoft Stream</h3> First, go to your favourite browser (Firefox or Chrome) and go to <a href=""></a> (1) then click on Sign In (2) <a href=""><img class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-2210" src="" alt="Screencapture of microsoft stream and the signin button being highlighted" width="550" height="357" /></a> Type in your University of Brighton email address (1) then click next (2). <a href=""><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-2211" src="" alt="Screencapture of the MS Signin window" width="468" height="373" /></a> This will take you to the University's sign-in page enter your password (1), and click Sign In (2). <a href=""><img class="aligncenter wp-image-2212" src="" alt="Screencapture of the sign in page for the university of brighton" width="455" height="378" /></a> Go to the My Content tab in the menu (1) and choose Videos (2) <a href=""><img class="aligncenter wp-image-2213" src="" alt="Screencapture of the Videos button being highlighted" width="335" height="314" /></a> Find the video of the session that you wish to put into My Studies, and click on the three-dots on the far right of the column (1) Click on the bottom-most choice, Download Video (2). <a href=""><img class="aligncenter wp-image-2214" src="" alt="Screencapture of the three dot menu with download at the bottom" width="519" height="232" /></a> Make sure the Save File option is selected, and click OK. <a href=""><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-2215" src="" alt="Screencapture of the save dialog box on " width="434" height="320" /></a> In the computer's save window, make sure you name the file something specific to the session (Date/Time/Subject) as most MS Teams recordings are just called "Meeting now" which isn't helpful. Place the file on your desktop (to find it easily) Then click Save. <a href=""><img class="aligncenter wp-image-2216" src="" alt="Screencapture of the save dialog area on a windows computer" width="516" height="291" /></a> Now that you've moved the video out of MS Stream onto your own computer, it's time to upload it to My Studies/Panopto. <h3>Uploading a Video to Panopto</h3> Go into My Studies and go to the specific module that you wish the recording to be placed, and go into the Study Materials area. <a href=""><img class="aligncenter wp-image-2217" src="" alt="Screencapture of a module area with the Study Materials highlighted" width="438" height="368" /></a> Find the Content Folder, or area where the video should be placed for your students to easily find the recording. <a href=""><img class="aligncenter wp-image-2218" src="" alt="Screencapture of a particular content folder in blackboard" width="540" height="382" /></a> Go to Build Content (1), and choose Item (2). <a href=""><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-2219" src="" alt="Screencapture of the Item choice in My Studies" width="620" height="389" /></a> In the Add Item window, Title the item with the name of the recording (1), and click on the Add Content button (2) to go find the video. <a href=""><img class="aligncenter wp-image-2220" src="" alt="Screencapture of the Add Item window with the add content button being highlighted" width="549" height="326" /></a> Choose the Panopto Video option in the pop-up window. <a href=""><img class="aligncenter wp-image-2221" src="" alt="Screencapture of the Panopto Video option" width="239" height="211" /></a> Click on the Upload Tab at the top of the window. <a href=""><img class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-2222" src="" alt="Screencapture of the Panopto Content window with the upload tab being highlighted" width="550" height="298" /></a> You can drag and drop the video file into the area with the dotted line, or you can click on the area, and go use the traditional file-browser to find your saved video on the desktop. <a href=""><img class="aligncenter wp-image-2223 size-large" src="" alt="Screencapture of the upload window in Panopto" width="550" height="293" /></a> Choose the video from your desktop, and click Open. <a href=""><img class="aligncenter wp-image-2224" src="" alt="Windows file browser with the open button highlighted." width="576" height="323" /></a> Wait for the progress bar to complete (1). This can take a while, depending on the length of the video, and your own internet connection. DO NOT click on the insert video button (2) until the progress bar is complete. <a href=""><img class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-2225" src="" alt="Screencapture of the incomplete progress bar." width="550" height="180" /></a> Once the video says it is processing (1) NOW you can click on the Insert Videos button (2). <a href=""><img class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-2226" src="" alt="Screencapture of the video successfully uploaded and processing." width="550" height="157" /></a> The video will be embedded in the Item Contents area, click on Submit. <a href=""><img class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-2227" src="" alt="Screencapture of the embedded video in the content area, with the submit button highlighted." width="550" height="290" /></a> Once the video is embedded and the processing of the video is finished, the content will be ready for your students to view. <a href=""><img class="aligncenter wp-image-2228" src="" alt="Screencapture of the embedded video in the Study Materials area of My Studies" width="624" height="405" /></a> If you have any questions about technical matters, do feel free to contact the University of Brighton’s Service Desk, at 01273 644444 or <a href=""></a> If you have course-related questions, contact your School Office.-->
