Teaching and Learning

  NurSuS is a free online resource about sustainability for nurses and other health care professionals.  It includes a variety of teaching and learning resources that can be accessed after registering in the language of choice.

 

Sustainability in School of Health Sciences courses

Alison Taylor, on behalf of the Sustainability Special Interest Group, conducted an evaluation (January 2016) of sustainability within courses offered by the School of Health Sciences.  Over the 2016-2017 academic year, the Special Interest Group will be acting upon Alison’s evaluation to further embed sustainability into course curriculum and help to establish a culture of sustainability across the School.

Centre for Learning and Teaching (CLT)

The University of Brighton’s CLT provides support for Schools in relation to sustainability and has the following resources:

  • Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) blog – updates on ESD projects and initiatives at the university, as well as providing a forum for dialogue, for members of the university community to share ideas and best practice around ESD.

Environment Team

The University of Brighton’s Environment Team is available to offer dissertation support for students undertaking projects on topics related to sustainability.  They also offer a £200 Environmental Sustainability Award for dissertations which have sustainability as a theme.
