The School of Sport and Health Science’s Sustainability Special Interest Group (SIG) welcomes membership from anyone with an interest in sustainability including:  academic staff, administrative staff, clinical skills technicians, students, researchers, and partners and service users from health and social care organisations.


The Sustainability Special Interest Group meets regularly, hosts events and undertakes projects with an aim to:

  • Establish sustainable learning, teaching and assessments in the School
  • Embed sustainability within the curriculum of all courses delivered by the School
  • Enable research into sustainability in health and social care settings
  • Enact sustainability in operational practices within the School
