This site was created by Erika Thorne and Theresa Corkill, with the aim to support both learners and our practice partners with placement supervision and assessment for all our learners across any NMC registered courses.  Additionally for supporting all learners on sport or health care placements there is this site: University of Brighton Supporting Health and Sport Students in Practice

Practice partners – There is helpful advice and tips for all learners, Practice Assessors and Practice Supervisors in providing teaching and resources to support and develop the skills to support one another whilst learning.

Learners – this is also a great resource for you to revisit the PAD requirements for each year, the videos of how to get the best out of your PAD documentation, and somewhere you can signpost practitioners as needed.  Remember you must maintain an evidence log, that demonstrates how you are meeting the proficiencies and professional values.  Evidence Logs work best when you are reflecting on the activities you have undertaken each day and map these against the proficiencies and professional values, identifying where your knowledge, skills and values are formed and where the gaps are.

Additionally Theresa Corkill (Practice Learning Lead for Nursing, T.K.Corkill@brighton.ac.uk)  is running free practice supervisor/practice assessor update or transition session from mentor to practice supervisor/assessor, please use this link or access ticketsource to book on a session if needed:
