With assessment deadlines and end of semester exams approaching, we wanted to remind you of the wide range of support available from the university to help you succeed and to manage your stressful.

Opening hours over the Christmas break 2023/24

The University will this year close from Thursday 21 December 2023 to Monday 1 January 2024 inclusive. In addition, some buildings will shut down for a longer period.

Opening hours and support over the Easter break

With the Easter break on the horizon, please take note of the slightly different opening hours for all of our libraries, and the services in place to support your learning and mental health over the break.

Opening hours over the Christmas break

With the Christmas holidays fast approaching, make sure you check our openings hours for December and January before you head off for the break. Remember, if you are travelling please follow the guidance on testing before you leave, and again in January before you return.

No booking for computer and library study spaces on 30 July only

Library study spaces and some computers can be used without booking on Wednesday 30 June while the bookings systems are upgraded. For entrance to library study space and computers please phone the number displayed at library entrances.

Extended opening hours for all libraries from 19 April

Each campus library will open between 9:30am and 7:45pm, Monday to Friday until the end of term but any visit must be pre-booked using the ‘Book a study space’ tile within My Brighton.

Each campus library will open between 9:30am and 6pm, Monday to Friday but any visit must be pre-booked using the ‘Book a study space’ tile within My Brighton.

Access to university libraries during January lockdown

Our libraries are closed temporarily but we will be reopening for pre-booked study spaces once extra safety measures have been installed. It is important to stress that students should not travel during lockdown and that permitted access to these facilities is for essential use only.
