Changes to bus services

With transport between Brighton campuses and halls improved, plus the low usage of the shuttle bus, we will be discontinuing the UB1 service. For anyone experiencing financial difficulty, guidance, discounted travel solutions and hardship funding will be offered through the Student Advice Service.

Our campuses and halls of residence across Brighton and Eastbourne are well served by public transport, walking and cycling routes. There are also a range of student discounts available which you can take advantage of to help reduce the cost of travel.

Car parking and permit enforcement now in place (2022/23)

A reminder that parking arrangements are in place for the 2022-23 academic year in line with the University’s Car Park and Permit Application Policy.  Student parking remains free for the 2022/23 academic year with a valid E-Permit. If you park without a valid E-Permit, you may receive a Parking Charge Notice (PCN) of £60.

Students and staff affected by the ASLEF rail strike on Wednesday 5 October, who do not have an E-Permit to park on campus, may apply for a temporary E-Permit valid for 5 October only.
