Module Check In survey

Your Voice Matters – complete your Module Check In 2022/23

Your time here at university is just that – yours. Throughout the year, there will be lots of opportunities for you to be involved with shaping your university experience, and we encourage you to make the most of them, whether that is attending your School’s student-staff forum or applying to be an Inclusive Practice Partner.

Today, the university launches its Module Check In survey to over 7000 students across 214 modules. The survey will ask for feedback on your recent experiences – we want to know the areas of the module that you feel are going well, and where we need to improve. The survey will come as close to the mid-point of your module as possible, so that your feedback can make a real difference to your learning experience.

How to take part in the Module Check In survey

The views and opinions you share through Module Check In will be anonymous and it should only take a few minutes to complete. Please do not identify yourself. Module Check In surveys are about your academic experience on a module. It is important that your feedback focuses on the learning and teaching experience and not individual members of staff. Under no circumstances should you use inappropriate or offensive language or reference individuals when responding to Module Check In surveys. You can find out more information on this in the Student Code of Practice and in BSU’s useful guidance on how to give effective feedback.

Look out for emails from modulecheckinsupport@brighton.ac.uk and click the link to provide your feedback. You can also access the survey through the Module Check In area on My Studies. Once the survey has closed, you will receive a Student Feedback Report with a summary of the results and a response from your Module Leader. Your responses can make a real difference to both your experience of the module, and that of future students – please take the time to feedback so that your voice can be heard.

If you do not receive an evaluation request, we haven’t forgotten you – there are seven evaluation points across the year, so you will be able to feedback at another point. If you have any questions, please contact the Module Check In team on modulecheckinsupport@brighton.ac.uk or speak to your module leader.
