Part-time job opportunity: Student Ambassadors wanted
Applications for Student Recruitment and Outreach (SRO) Student Ambassador role are now open.
SRO Student Ambassadors support the University’s recruitment and outreach work, including open days, work with local schools and colleges, and marketing/website content.
Once you’re fully trained you can apply for the shifts that interest you and fit around your other commitments. It’s a great way to top up your income by a few hours each month and develop your employability skills and CV. All shifts are paid £11.24 per hour.
It’s really important to us that we represent the full diversity of our student population and we encourage students from all backgrounds and courses to apply. Whether you are fresh out of college, or a mature student studying a course with placements, we want to hear from you!
Apply to be a Student Ambassador – deadline for this application is 10 October 2022.
What does this role entail?
As an SRO Student Ambassador, you’ll help to deliver a wide range of activities and events, supporting prospective students and young people to make informed decisions about their futures. You’ll gain valuable skills and experience, and we provide training, so you’ll be confident to take on the opportunities we offer. Some of the activities you can choose to get involved in include:
- Supporting fun activities in schools, encouraging young people to aspire to Higher Education.
- Representing your course at open days, campus tours and other recruitment events.
- Attending Higher Education and UCAS fairs locally and further afield.
- Producing content showcasing student life for our website and social media channels.

We are currently looking for helpers to work at the autumn open day events.
