Start a Business as a Student with beepurple, the University’s entrepreneurship service
Did you know that the Careers & Employability team can help you start your own business or side hustle whilst you are studying? Each year, we support 100s of students and graduate to start up!
As a student, you are able to access beepurple – the University of Brighton’s entrepreneurship support service.
During term-time, the Careers & Employability team hosts practical beepurple workshops designed to help you develop your entrepreneurial ideas and boost your enterprise skills. At these workshops, we discuss topics such as creative thinking, analysing your business ideas, marketing on a low budget, business planning, and presenting with confidence – among other things! We also invite our graduates as guest speakers, so that they can share with you their experiences of running their own businesses.
As well as our beepurple workshops, we offer a confidential, one-to-one entrepreneurship advice service to help you work out your next steps for making your ideas happen.
And, if you are keen to start up, but are in need of some funding, you are welcome to enter our annual ideas competition or apply for a grant!
