Stress Awareness Day at Falmer – Monday 14 November

On Monday 14 November the university will be holding a Stress Awareness Day at Falmer, with a wide range of events and activities designed to bust stress and help you feel calmer and more relaxed.

We know university can be a stressful experience, so we are inviting all students to stop by and explore fun and effective ways to beat the stress:

  • Stress-busting games and activities including colouring, stress balls, yoyos and bubbles will be available, facilitated by the Students Union. (10:00 – 12:30, Checkland Atrium.)
  • Meet your SSGT and Student Services Stands. Stop by and meet your Student Support and Guidance Tutor along with members of the Student Services team – the people who are there to help when the stress is mounting. (10:00 – 12:30, Checkland Atrium.)
  • Mindfulness session. A chance to quiet your racing brain and attain inner peace using techniques that are practiced by millions all over the world. (Noon – 1pm, Checkland B406)
  • Yogalates Sessions. Get physical with this relaxing blend of yoga and pilates. Mats are provided. (1:05 – 1:55, Sports Centre.)
  • Walk My Dog.’ Relaxing walk with dogs in Stanmer Park – no need to bring your own dog! (3:00 – 4:00, meet at Checkland Building at 3:00.)
  • Half price relaxing and calming drinks (herbal and fruit tea and chocolate) in all outlets on Falmer campus all day.

All the activities are FREE and open to all. Hope to see you there!
