Our campus plans for Moulsecoomb
Come and see plans for the new campus facilities and the Preston Barracks development going on show in October and November.
What is happening?
The University of Brighton is working to create a thriving new development that will transform the Moulsecoomb area, along Lewes Road, Brighton.
The development will contribute to employment, enterprise and entrepreneurialism and create a place for people to live, learn and work – a place of which they can be proud.
This is a partnership between Brighton & Hove City Council, The University of Brighton and U+I Plc.
This proposal will transform our Lewes Road sites with a new state-of-the-art Advanced Engineering Building, academic building, student accommodation, multi-story car parking, outdoor open social spaces and a new pedestrian footbridge spanning Lewes Road.
The plans for this development will go forward to the city council in late November.
When are the plans on show?
Plans and artist’s impressions for the university’s sites will be available to see throughout the day at Cockcroft and Mithras House.
Cockcroft Mezzanine – Near the Book and Bean café (Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 October)
Mithras Canteen – Near the entrance (Tuesday 1 and Wednesday 2 November)
If you would like to ask questions or find out more, members of the project team will be available between 12.30pm and 2pm on these days.
