The Big Bang Fair South East

If you’re a student or researcher in a STEM related subject you may be able to help.

We are looking for volunteers to attend the Big Bang Fair South East.

Volunteer at this year’s Big Bang Fair South East, share your passion, knowledge and skills with around 7000 school pupils.

Why volunteer?

  • You’ll get to inspire the next generation of scientists or engineers and improve a young person’s outlook on these vital subjects
  • Learn new skills and practice your existing skills – science communication, problem solving, teamwork etc.
  • Gain events experience
  • Network with local and national STEM employers
  • Interact with a wide range of people of all ages and hone your people skills

Is there any cost to students?

No! If you volunteer, not only will you help change a young persons life by enthusing their future career, boost your CV and gain vital experience, it wont cost you anything.

What’s provided on the day

  • Free transport – minibus from central Brighton early morning and in the afternoon
  • Free shuttle bus during the day from Three Bridges train station
  • Free lunch is also provided

What you will have pay for

  • The train should you not choose to use the free mini bus
  • Gadgets or souvenirs
  • Food from the array of tempting stalls at the event
