National Student Money Week 4th – 8th March 2024

The Student Advice Service team is taking part in the National Student Money Week campaign from Monday 4 March – Friday 8 March. This year’s theme is centred around protecting you from financial risks, such as scamming and unmanageable debt and how you can reduce the risks and enjoy more rewards of budgeting and careful spending.

Being financially savvy and safe has never been more important. We know that students are really struggling with the cost of living and we understand how hard it can be to find part time work which fits around study.

Students are extremely vulnerable to scams and phishing, so any advice and personal experiences you are willing to share could prevent others falling into the same trap.

Come and find us on your campus on the following dates:

  • Monday 4 March, City campus: Grand Parade main building, Atrium gallery 12 – 2pm
  • Tuesday 5 March, Falmer: Checkland building foyer 12– 2pm
  • Thursday 7 March, Moulsecoomb: Cockcroft building, outside Aldrich Library 12– 2pm
  • Friday 8 March, Eastbourne: Darley Road campus, Greynore restaurant 12 – 2pm

Look out for the green Money Matters banner, our unique money tree and the red tombola. No one ever walks away from our stalls empty handed!

If you can’t make any of the pop up stalls, you can stay connected with us online as we’ll be posting a different blog each day covering a range of topics throughout the week.

See you next week
