Introducing Springboard, the university’s crowdfunding platform

Need to raise money for your project, idea or event? Use the university’s crowdfunding platform- Springboard to give your projects a boost and a platform to fundraise.

Over the past 2 years students have raised over £35k for their projects using Springboard.

The crowdfunding platform is free for every student, so you keep 100% of the funds raised. Plus, you can benefit from match funding from the university!

Every project on the platform is featured and promoted to the university’s online network of alumni and friends to maximise the promotion of your activity.

You can use Springboard for a variety of projects, such as:

  • Society and sports team equipment
  • Putting on a show or event
  • Travel costs to a field trip or society/course event
  • Creative projects and end of year shows
  • Research and academic priorities
  • Much more!

This is what one happy student fundraiser has to say:

“We raised over £2,000 by using the crowdfunding platform. Springboard gives us a platform to fundraise for Graduate Fashion Week which we then could showcase our work not only to our friends and family but most importantly to the industry. Being able to do it gives us many career opportunities and helps us and the university further build industry contacts.”

Pik Yen Wong, BA Hons Fashion with Business Studies, Class of 2019.
