Board member – Angela Spinks
Angela graduated from the University of Southampton with a first class degree in Environmental Science in 2007. She began her career in environmental consultancy, working eight years at RPS Group in the air quality team progressing from Assistant to Senior Consultant. This role involved writing reports for planning and environmental permit applications and environmental monitoring (including some international travel to Albania and Kurdistan Region of Iraq).
In 2016, Angela moved to Mackley, a civil engineering contractor, to pursue a career in community engagement. Since working for Mackley Angela has worked on over 20 flood and coastal defence schemes including Shoreham Adur Tidal Walls (SATW), the Bacton Sandscaping Scheme, and the Godalming Flood Alleviation Scheme (GFAS).
Angela joined the IAB in 2021 to assist the new generation of civil engineers.
