Profile of Judit Pusztaszeri

Meet the staff: Judit Pusztaszeri

Judit Pusztaszeri is a spatial designer and researcher with interests in social normality and how this permeates design and teaching practice. Her work has explored this theme in several domains, including architectural sites of memory, everyday environments, and educational practices.

Judit’s current research looks at domestic sites of memory and identity, exploring the home through the eyes of the hoarder. She understands hoarding as a form of extreme and alternative space making practice, deviating from the accepted and normal way of spatial organisation, which could offer alternatives and new ways of spatial thinking and making.

Judit has taught at Brighton since 2015, contributing to undergraduate teaching in Interior Architecture BA(Hons) and postgraduate courses in Interior Design MA and Architectural and Urban Design MA. She is currently a Level 6 year co-ordinator of the Interior Architecture BA(Hons) degree.
