Edible Cities Network: Integrating Edible City Solutions for social resilient and sustainably productive cities
Under a “Smart and Sustainable Cities” call dealing with “innovation actions” in the subject area of “nature-based solutions”, the University of Brighton is represented by André Viljoen and Katrin Bohn and is one of more than thirty partners looking at implementing and planning “edible city solutions” in several case study cities, mainly in the EU.
The bid drew inspiration from Bohn’s and Viljoen’s design research into Continuous Productive Urban Landscape (CPUL) with explicit reference to the CPUL concept.
The University of Brighton’s main task will be to develop masterplans for productive urban landscapes with 8 European and international cities.
