Nice research and great to hear positive news about telecare supporting people. But telecare has been around for a long time now and hasn’t really developed past a phone line. What about extending telecare outside of the home? After all, if the only place someone feels safe is in their armchair, what quality of life do they have?
How does telecare help engage professional carers and informal family carers who want to be involved in supporting loved ones? How does telecare help people remain involved in the community?
‘Ageing in PLace’ needs to be more than just at home.
