The English Institute of Sport (EIS) and British Athletics are embarking on an innovative research partnership, Project Pinnacle, which will provide top endurance coaches and athletes with findings to improve elements of their training and competitive strategies, in a bid to maximise performance.

A new sports research centre will be officially opened tonight at the University of Brighton’s Eastbourne campus: the centre for sport and exercise science and medicine (known as SESAME).
