In this current time of digital technology, most of todays business, learning and personal enjoyment – oh, actually just about everything – is done online.
I have created this website for you to have a look at to teach you about how to keep yourself safe while you are on the internet. Whether you are on Social Media, playing online games or doing a bit of shopping, you must always keep your personal safety in the front of your mind.
You may already know some of the information which you read here, so it will be good to refresh your mind about these things, but you may also learn some things which you didn’t know. As well as information there are videos and a quiz which you can take to see how much you have learnt!
You may notice as you browse the pages that some of the words you read are highlighted in bold red. You can find the meaning for these words on the ‘Jargon Buster’ post (you can find this on the front page) just so that you are as sure as you can be with what you read. You may also notice that you are able to click on a sound button – this will read the page for you in case you are having difficulty with reading.
This website would be good for you have a look at with your parents as it is also very important that they are aware of the dangers that you could face. It is also always a good idea to talk to them about what you are doing online, and I hope that the information in this website helps you to talk to them openly.
