All of the components of Oltó have been designed with simplistic assembly in mind. Here is a video of the proposed assembly order.
Tolerances (Technical Implications)
The CAD model for the design fits together perfectly, however components may alter in size through production. For example, injection moulded parts will shrink slightly and laser cut parts may loose some of their width. OTS components will also be inconsistent in size and have their own set tolerances.
To overcome these issues, features have been designed to include a tolerance of plus or minus 0.4mm. Tooling will be produced by a specialist who understands how to design for shrinking and each batch will be monitored for accuracy.
If the components assembly is too loose or too tight, due to tolerance issues, alternations will have to be made to the tooling. Depending on the size of the issue, this could be very costly.
