Bringing a cool concept to life with sustainability and a young audience. Making shopping for thrifted and preloved clothing a lot more accessible for anyone is what we hope to accomplish. While making it more convenient for our consumer we worked through social media to reach the right audience. Pushing a points system through an app so that it is beneficial for the consumer and us as a collective. Though seeing different brands and companies that I have had a look at try out some type of sustainability it is not something that is really done right to cut down waste. I’ve been able to look at brands that that produce little to no waste and are more than 100% sustainable. We wanted to make a collective/brand that stands for what is truly sustainable and will be better for the world long term.
MY ROLE
My role is Photography and Styling for Revamp. Finding the style and mood in collaboration with the Art Director as well as the Brander. Though my role doesn’t start until the garments/ products are produced until then I wanted to get a head start on the mood-boards, colour stories and overall themes of the shoot. Seeing a partial plan for what is being produced by the designers I am able to work around the styles and looks of it all. Picking up on the target market I want to make sure who we are pushing to promote to the right audience. Keeping in mind my inspiration I look at a couple of different photographers and brand photographers to see what style of photography that I wanted to produce when it came for Revamps outcome.
CATCHING UP
As we are coming close to easter break and we have a handful of people in the group either out of the country or are travelling home from now until the easter break is over. This is cutting close to the deadline so we wanted to make sure that everyone going away was aware of what their roles entailed and what to do before coming back. The promotion and branding team got a start on making some mockups for the social media, target market and the style of our brand. The deign team had gotten a start on some prototypes but weren’t able to start until they had gotten the materials from the thrift warehouse trip. Time is running out but we all know what needs to be done.
